Book Review: An Organized Approach
Summary: 4 Stars
Jody Fisher is a painstaking, methodical teacher in all his publications, and here he approaches a vital topic in the same way. For somebody starting to relate music theory to sound this is an excellent book. One can imagine all sorts of extensions from the material he gives us, especially in giving context to these lessons and hearing them in real world situations, but all in all this is a really good place to start a crucial part of learning to play an instrument (or sing).

This companion to the popular book "Theory for the Contemporary Guitarist" starts with the basics of pitch discrimination and leads you to making fine distinctions between interval types, chord types, scales and chord progressions.
