Book Review: Another of the master's titles revisited

Vernon Joynson updates the third of his trio of bibles of psychedelic rock. The US is covered in "Fuzz, Acid and Flowers Revisited" the UK in "Tapestry of Delights." And this volume updates psych and garage rock from Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This update of the 1997 first edition adds South Africa to the countries covered. The book has bios of each band, single and lp releases with catalog number and release date. Joynson critiques the albums, and rates the collectibility of each release. Also, Joynson includes cd release date for albums which have been digitally released. Compilations which contain works by each band are listed. This tome is an absolute necessity for fans of late 60s/early 70s rock. When used in combination with Joynson's other two books, the listener can make educated choices as to which cd's to purchase. In these days of scarce funds this book is all the more indespensable. The price on the copies available are unbelievably inexpensive. Snatch them up while you can as Joynson has said he will never again update any of his three major works. I hope Joynson changes his mind, but in the meantime jump on this bargain while it is still available. It will not disappoint.
