Book Review: A Big Book for a Big Mind

This wonderful fantasy book by Cornelia Funke is Dragon Rider. This quest begins in the Valley of the Dragons and goes to different places. The Valley of the Dragons is where Firedrake, the dragon, and his friend Sorrel, which is a mythical cat, try to take a quest to the Rim of Heaven. That is the safe haven for dragons. Along the way, they meet Ben, an orphan who lives in a big city. They also meet an unexpected antagonist named Nettlebrand. The bad news is, he eats silver dragons like Firedrake. Will they make it to The Rim of Heaven? Will Nettlebrand get them first? Find out in this exciting book. We give this book five stars. We would recommend this to fantasy lovers, because it has mythical creatures and action sequences. It is a really good book, so read it today and discover the magical adventure called Dragon Rider.

This book was an awesome book because it was by my favorite author. This book is a Dragon named FireDrake. He was trying to find the Rim of Heaven because his fellow Dragons were being attached by the humans. Along his way. he meets a boy that also helps him along the way. First they go to a rat because they need a map to find out where they need to go. Then they travel at night because the dragons can only travel because they need the moonlight for strength. But there is a monster that looks like a dragon because he likes to hunt dragons and his name is the Golden One. He hasn't hunted in a long time and he has servants that go and try to find the dragons but they have a spy that is spying on the dragon to find the other dragons in the Rim of Heaven . Will he find the Dragons or will the dragons try to kill him. Read to find out.Book Review: AMAZING!

RIM OF HEAVEN - FIREDRAKE - BROWNIES and RATS?? This tale is amazing! The adventure starts off in a dragon realm which, is being threatened by an invasion of humans. I had to laugh since this seems so comical yet Funke truly makes you feel as if you are taking on this adventure. Firedrake, one of the dragons, sets out with his partner to find the Rim of Heaven. Along the way they come in contact with a human boy named Ben with whom they meet in an abandoned building. I loved how Funke tries to hide the Firedrake as he makes his way to the Rim as to not be seen by humans. It's kind of hard to hide a dragon. The adventure is set throughout several countries and takes on a twist as they come in contact with Nettlebrand an evil mechanical dragon set out to destroy their chances of finding the Rim of Heaven.Book Review: Dragon Rider

This is a wonderful book about a young boy who finds himself in the presence of a nearly full grown dragon who was moved out of his land by humans which are starting to move in and take over the dragon population. There is still one place though the dragon can go so as the boy finds out about everything he decides to go and help the dragon along with the dragon's companion which is a female brownie. Along the way they find out about the great golden dragon which is out to get them the whole time since it craves silver dragons like the one the boy is riding. They undergo many other things through their journey and along the way also learn many things. This is definately a wonderful book that keeps you on your toes the whole time while these great friends try their hardest to save the entire silver dragon world.
