Book Review: Interesting character study
Summary: 5 Stars

Cory is a recent addict to the Internet. She is compelled to access her email even when visiting the homes of her friends.

Cory is married to Sam. At first Sam seems a total jerk, demanding his dinner when he gets home even though Cory has a full time job as a teacher - my thought was 'get it yourself'. However both Cory and Sam have emotional issues and neither want to address the issues that face them as a couple or work to figure out what has happened to their marriage. Both are decent people with secrets they are compelled to keep from each other.

Cory lives in England and entering the picture via the Internet comes Dylan who lives in Massachusetts. Dylan is recently broken up with her girlfriend. An intense relationship develops between the two with Cory sharing more if herself with Dylan than she will share with her husband.

The novel has many twists and turns and the reader never knows what direction the story or characters are heeded. At almost 250 pages this a a substantial read that will stay with the reader for a long time.

If you enjoyed this novel you will love the author's other book -

Learning to Trust

From the publisher's website - Cory Williams's settled and predictable life as a young, successful teacher in a small town in the middle of England is upended when she discovers the Internet and the joy of emailing friends all over the world. Her comfortable existence is thrown into total turmoil when she begins exchanging emails with an on-line American friend, Dylan Matthews, a computer technician who's having problems with her partner, Sarah.

The intensity of her friendship with Dylan forces Cory to examine choices she's made and secrets she's chosen to hide. The relationship between Cory and Dylan escalates, and both women realize that despite enormous obstacles impeding their hopes to be together, their feelings for one another are too powerful to deny.

Ultimately, Cory must choose between her true love and what she believes is her duty to her job, her country, and her family and friends. Cory's journey of self-discovery is complicated by the re-emergence of all her inner demons, the death of her beloved grandfather, and the pressures exerted on her by well-intentioned associates.

What course will Cory choose? What will be the upshot of that message from Dylan she opted to Download?

Book Review: Read First!
Summary: 4 Stars

Even though this book was written AFTER "Learning to Trust", it is realy the prequel to that book. It is a great read and can certainly be enjoyed when read in the order of publication, but I feel it loses some of it's suspense and romantic anst if you read this one after you have already completed Morgan's "Learning to Trust" . Overall, this is a great read for those that like a little romance in life!

Summary: 5 Stars

A thoroughly enjoyable read. Download is a sequel, or almost more of a prequel really to J. Y. Morgan's first novel Learning to Trust. The characters of Cory and Dylan are first introduced as minor characters in Learning to Trust and we are given a very brief discussion there of their past history. In Download, have the pleasure of discovering just how Cory and Dylan meet and subsequently fall in love. We soon discover that they first met through the internet and are able to see their relationship develop from the first tentative overatures of friendship into decisions as to whether one memember or the other of this international couple will choose to relocate in order to be with the woman she loves.
