Book Reviews of Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself BookBook Review: My 8 year old finally loves to read! Summary: 5 Stars
I am so thrilled that my 8 year old boy FINALLY has found something that he loves to read. He would definitely have been classified as a reluctant reader, as he would only read what he had to read to school. When he discovered these Wimpy Kid books, it's the first time that I ever saw him curl up on the couch and enjoy reading. I would buy as many books as this author is willing to write.
Book Review: Great Series and Great Variation Summary: 5 Stars
The Diary series of books are a favorite of my children and this one is a great variation of the series, making their own.
Very creative and a way to expand imagination and thought.
As noted in the title it is DYI and not a traditional book, so keep that in mind when choosing it as oppossed to the other versions. With that in mind, this provides alot of enjoyment.
Book Review: Excellent book Summary: 5 Stars
We picked up this book for my 10 year old (5th grader) for our vacation - he worked on this book the whole time we were in the plane and the car. It built creativity , a great travel memory and over all he loved it! My son has loved this series - and when a 10 year old boy does a happy dance when you buy him the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book
- I think you have a hit.
Book Review: Amazing and engaging Summary: 5 Stars
My 6 yr. old (almost 7) is reading and writing on his own with this book. I bought this as a more creative activity book for a long car trip. He had a pen in hand writing answers to the questions 5 minutes after opening the book. I love it. I'm sure he will be drawing pictures as well. Thank you Jeff Kinney. My child is engaged with a smile while keeping his skills up over the summer!
Book Review: A great series, a great idea. Summary: 5 Stars
My son has read and re-read and re-re-read all of the Wimpy Kid books. He likes the idea of writing and this book keeps him doing it. I pulled the book off the shelf today and found that he had been keeping a sporadic journal - "don't call it a diary" - for months. While this book is probably only 1/4 full of pre-printed stories, the pages of blank, lined paper are well worth the cost.
