Book Reviews of Devil May Cry (Dark-Hunter, Book 11)

Book Review: Devil May Cry
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this book just like the rest of the Dark Hunter books. I didn't read them in order but they are so good you don't have to,even though I wish I did. I felt for Sin hurt as much well not as much as Ash. I read Ash story first but I was already in love with him before reading his story which only made me love him more.I also had read Xyphers story and Im always suprised how much these men go through before finding they're life mates.
This book will leave you wanting for more.
I can never get enough of Ash. I wouldn't want to be the person to have to find a man to live up to the image the book gives or should I say that I have of him. I guess this is one time that no movie/picture could hold up to the picture thats in my head of him. I've been married 20 years to a wonderful man but Ash could make me cheat LOL.
I love this series Mrs Kenyon you could keep them coming and I wouldn't grow tired of them as long as Ash has a part in them:)
Ladies these books are worth it. Action both romantic and adventure great plots, great stories. The characters are awesome. I can't say nothings wrong with them except I can't get enough of them. Also it's got some sex parts in them but there not all in your face there the kind that makes you want to cuddle with you special someone. Yes your face may turn red but you won't want to vomit.
Love,Love,Love this series.

The Story
3000 years ago Sumerian god Sin had his powers stolen from Artemis. Since then he hunts the gallu demons. They were created by his pantheon, but now that it no longer exists Sin and his twin are responsible. The gallu demons make daimons look like kittens. The gallu demons are plotting to release the Dimme demons. That would be the extinction of mankind. Katra is sent by Artemis to kill Sin, but she realizes her mother lied about Sin. Katra jumps into helping Sin. Together they must find the key elements to reseal the Dimme and stop the gallu.

Thoughts
This book is very touching, because Ash FINALLY, after 11000 years, meets his daughter-Katra. Why they kept her from him for so long just pisses me off, I can't fathom keeping that kind of secret. It did make for a very emotional reunion tho. Sin is such a good man, he just keeps things very close to the vest. Katra has made appearances throughout the series, so it was nice to finally get the whole picture. The creativity of new demons introduced was new and refreshing story. The pace is fast and content captivating. I wish there was more of Katra, sin and Ash interaction. This book also sets up more for the book Acheron. Katra fills a huge hole in Sin. It is a very memorable book in the series.

Book Review: The Best Yet
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best Dark Hunter novel so far! If you haven't read all the previous books in the series, you may not enjoy or understand this one so well. For those avid readers of the series, this book packs a punch! Sin is a former Sumerian God who lost his powers to Artemis. There is still some tension there! He meets Katra, who was first introduced in Kiss of the Night. The two have to battle a series of Sumerian demons who are able to turn humans to demonic minions by biting them. Along the way we learn that there is a past between Katra and Acheron (the Dark Hunter leader) that is quite a surprise! This is a fast-paced and exciting book. This is one of those pivotal books in a series where you learn so much about the characters, and even more questions are posed. The best Dark Hunter yet!

Book Review: Dark(Dream)-Hunter Series is my favorite read.
Summary: 5 Stars

I am so addicted to Sherrilyn Kenyon's writings. My only complaint is the published date was April 1, 2008, after Dream Chaser's date in February, 2008. Shame on the publishers. I was so confused about Kate in Dream Chaser.

Anyway, this book was so surprising and very unpredictable. Since I don't like spoilers, I won't go into details but I do hope there is a followup on this storyline with Kate and Sin. I suggest her new ability with all her other abilities surprising the Dark-Hunters and the other night stalkers, Stryker, etc. And the bundle, what will it become?

Thank you Sherrilyn for your talent to write so I can become lost in the Dark(Dream)-Hunter universe. I love it!

Book Review: Best one in years
Summary: 5 Stars

Yeah,OK. I understand these characters are supposed to be immortal and everybody is more or less the same age. Still, I was taken aback when the heroine discovered that the hero's wife had an affair with her grandfather. Guess that's the difference in knowing something and actually understanding it.

This was a favorite for me at least partially because Ash & Simi played prominent roles. Artemis, too; although I get weary of the gods and goddesses. I think we were getting pumped with background to prepare us for the next book,"Acheron". Here's hoping it lives up to all the preliminary hype. Whether it does or not, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and getting to know Ash's other daughter.
