I recently reviewed this book in the bookstore and I have a real problem with it. Simply adding some pureed vegetables to food that is really unhealthy for kids just seems wrong. Macaroni and cheese, tacos, brownies, pizza? Filling our kids with flour, cheese and sugar, and then patting ourselves on the back because we mixed in a bag of spinach is just the wrong way to go. My young children happily eat lots of vegetables every day, simply because I never introduced all this junk food in the first place. While I can appreciate the efforts of Ms. Seinfeld, I think we need to be focusing on feeding our children well from the start.
