Book Reviews of Day by Day Armageddon (A Zombie Novel)Book Review: fan to fan Summary: 5 Stars
This is a well writen book that is done in a diary set up which was enteresting. The book does a good job of staying with the old rules of the zombie which is what i liked about it, but he also puts a few minor but very good twist of his own when it comes to the undead. I am a huge fan that the charicter is a servicemember which makes for good tactics and use of skill. Also the fact that the author is as well shows in this book i realy respct that. I would tell anyone who is a fan of zombie's to pick this up and i am realy looking for the sequal.
Book Review: This would be a good mini-series. Summary: 5 Stars
I read the first few chapters online and was hooked. I immediately clicked the link at the end of the page and ordered the book. When it arrived I finished it in an hour. It's that entertaining. This book is written as a personal journal that also mimics a "Zombie Survival Guide" in some ways. This would make a great mini-series. You could skip all the boring day to day waiting parts (with commercials) and cut back to the action/drama.
If you like zombie/survival type movies you should like this book.
Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this book blind hoping for a surprise...and surprised I was. I sat down and read this book cover to cover in one sitting. Very well written and well paced. The writting format is that of a journal, which I haven't read before. The descriptions of the "writer" are very good. The action was believable and wasn't far fetched. I wouldn't call it a thrill ride, but I will say it was exciting and a bit suspensful. I wouldn't put it down until it was spent. I can't wait for the sequel.
Book Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best zombie books in my collection. It was a very fast read, but didn't feel too short. Left me wanting more, which is what any good book should do. Well written, good pacing, great overall feeling of impending doom.
Especially liked the accuracy of the military references. It was a breath of fresh air after finishing another zombie book with some of the cheesiest military dialogue I've ever had to choke down.
Looking forward to reading future works!
Book Review: Worthy Of The Zombie Genre Summary: 5 Stars
J.L. Bourne serves on active duty with the Air Force, and it's apparent that in certain aspects, he really knows his stuff. I could not put this book down, and in light of some of the more disappointing zombie novels/movies out there, this novel may not be revolutionary for the zombie genre, but it definitely deserves the hype it receives; read this novel and preorder his newest novel coming out in a few months time, it'll help pass the time while we all wait for the inevitable apocalypse.
