Book Review: Favorite Sunday video
Summary: 5 Stars
Our whole family loves this video. It almost seems like we watch it every other Sunday. The songs are fantastic. Some are just plain silly and entertaining (like the ones depicting Saul's madness [It's not easy being King] and Jesse putting forth each of his sons to be anointed as the next King for Samuel [Is he the one?].) Some songs are powerful because of the lyrics and the wonderful performance by the actors. It was this video that prompted us to start collecting the Liken series. Although the other ones are good, this is still by far our favorite video. The Liken Series is done by an LDS company, but this particular video tells the David and Goliath story of the Old Testament without any LDS references to it. Although I can't credit the manufacturer with the original story, they really bring to life the concept that God has a great plan for each one of us.
