Book Reviews of Darkly Dreaming DexterBook Review: May Dexter Live Here! Summary: 5 Stars
Darkly Dreaming Dexter is scary, charming, funny and worth reading...twice! I question my own morality cheering on a serial killer for killing other less appealing characters and rif-raff! He is the answer to the prayers of ordinary people who wish the child molesters, homicidal torture maniacs and serial killers would just disappear off the face of the earth...Dexter is accommidating to those wishes. May he live on but only in fiction. Itzkit
Book Review: Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay Summary: 5 Stars
Darkly Dreaming Dexter
This book was a great read. Even if you watched the show first. However the Dexter in the show is different than the one in the book. This book neatly wraps up the charcter that is Dexter and does so quickly as well as humorously. I love the wit and sarcasm, i think it tops it off nicely. I can't wait to read the second book.
Book Review: Dexter-First book in series Summary: 5 Stars
Delve into the mind of Dexter Morgan, blood spatter expert for the Miami Florida police dept. Serial killing just seems to be a hobby he has. From his childhood to the present Jeff Lindsay shows you who Dexter is and how he became the man he is. This character is so well written that it feels like you really have some insight into the mind of Dexter. This is a MUST-read...and likely to lead to wanting to read the other books in this series.
Book Review: Showtime Show in comparison with Dexter Book Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book thinking that it would be similar to the wonderful plot observed on the TV series.
The main difference between the novel and the series is that the series has a different engaging homicide killer each episode. The book relies on the mysteries of the Ice Truck Killer.
You should expect great twist and turns like the Showtime series brought, with the same satirical thoughts of Dexter.
Book Review: Amazing story Summary: 5 Stars
I am always looking for something new and fresh when I choose books. This one did not disappoint. I was hooked from beginning to end, and could not put the book down.
One thing that did annoy me slightly was that the subject of Dexter's emotional capacity (or lack thereof) was repeated constantly. Fortunately, in the last two chapters of the book this ended up becoming very important.
