Book Reviews of Dandelion: Memoir of a Free SpiritBook Review: amazing journey Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book in 3 days..I could not put it down! This book takes you on a journey through a life filled with tragedy, hope, love, hardship, and joy. Her constant fight for a better life will inspire young and old, men and women alike.
This book is for anyone. Even my 10 year old son was hooked on hearing stories of a girl not much older them him, who had run away to escape the horrors of her abusive home and search for happiness.
While reading this book, I literally found myself cracking up with laughs at the stories of parties in Hollywood and crying when she tells about her sweet grandmother.
If you have not yet read this book, read it! You will want to read it again and again.
Book Review: Survival of the fittest! Summary: 5 Stars
The grit and gumption of this young woman against all odds reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara with out the guile and cunning.
Catherine James has without compromise woven a spellbinding tale from the cloth of her own life.
Without bitterness or judgment she tells her own "Mommie Dearest" tale which is enough to send chills up the spine of the hardiest reader.
This is a book I pick up again and again just to hear Ms. James' poetic voice and to remember how lucky I am!

Book Review: A unique shade of forgiveness Summary: 5 Stars
I know people who are exceedingly passionate about their work, music, art, any number of things noteworthy and otherwise but I don't know if I've ever met anyone as passionate about life in all its precious facets as Miss James. Given the horrendous hurdles she's had to jump and the sufficiently unpleasant traumas she's overcome, her freedom of spirit as she has so aptly sub titled her memoir, has won out in a seemingly effortless battle between good and evil.
She's handled the hills in her life with style and the valleys with a unique shade of forgiveness and grace.
I am totally and completely impressed.
Read the book.

Book Review: could not put "dandelion down" Summary: 5 Stars
Dandelion: Memoir of a Free Spirit
i've read all the "girls'" books and i love them. however , catherine's "dandelion" really affected me much more than the others and in a different way. her raw honesty about her brutal childhood was at times very hard to read, because it left me wishing that these horrible things had never happened to her. she's a survivor and i admire her and thank her for being able to rehash her demons and provide me with more than a "groupie's" musing. her journey is an amazing one! i can't wait for her next novel!
Book Review: A Dandelion that is not just fluff Summary: 5 Stars
If there's one book you read this year - make it "Dandelion" by Catherine James. This autobiography is not only heart rendering but it is also insightful, funny and will absolutely touch the place inside all of us that just wants to be loved. From a childhood that no one should ever endure to her life as a young mother, Wilhelmina model and her illustrious rock & roll romances; Catherine tells her story with such candor that when you finish you feel like you have a new best friend. This is a true survivors story that is an absolute must read.
