Book Reviews of the DAN Pocket Guide to First Aid for Scuba DivingCustomer Review: Using the DAN Pocket Guide Summary: 5 StarsI bought the DAN Pocket Guide hoping that I would never have to use it. Unfortunately, I was present when a serious diving accident occurred. The guide was handy, because it was attached to my slate (being able to be taken underwater) and it proved invaluable to the first aid providers. It helped define the type and extent of the DCI and reassured the (non-professional) attendants that they were doing everything they should to help the patient. And the patient survived with no lasting ill-effects (after recompression in a chamber).
