K. Roland Williams delivers an entertaining story with his new novel, Cut Throat. Quincy a young, smart, handsome, talented singer, and in the hood limelight from the city of D.C., wants nothing more to just sing. However, his deepest nightmares begin when he talks to the devil himself Raymond James an outright gangster and drug lord who only have love for his club The Melody Room, and racking in the money and getting it by any means necessary is his motto.
Antoinette Sweet the diva herself, the wife of Victor Sweet the Ceo of the largest and most prominent recording company of Cut Throat Records also wants to make a sweet deal with Quincy and make all his dreams come true, unfortunately for Antoinette her husband Victor is in control of all decisions and has a major obsession of keeping control of every aspect of Antoinette's life, but unknown to Quincy, Raymond, and Victor, Antoinette have a secret agenda of her own and won't stop at nothing to make sure everything goes her way.
The band and the friends of Quincy is starting to play a different tune and everyone is not on the same beat. Things start getting out of control and fireworks erupt as Quincy tries to take back control of his own life, but the cost to do this are far more than he imagined as Quincy learns success comes with a price.
Cut Throat title is symbolic in meaning and the story has more deceit and backstabbing than one could imagine. Very creative and intriguing, Cut Throat keeps the reader attention and doesn't disappoint. This was an excellent read with drama, deceit, creativity, livid characters, and a well written plot. Williams draws and guides the reader in with emotions evoking laughter and heart-pounding drama. There's also alot of twist and turns, but the reader will not be able to predict the next move. Readers that enjoy non-stop drama, suspense, deceit, and lies will be satisfied with Cut Throat.

Quincy Underwood is a well known local celebrity in his hood. He's street smart, handsome, and the talented lead vocalist for Taboo, the hottest Neo Soul R&B band on the East Coast. Quincy's deepest desire is to live the lifestyle that he knows he deserves: a life of luxury far removed from the concrete jungle and poverty he was raised in. However, Raymond James, drug lord and owner of the Melody Room, the largest night club in the city, has other plans for Q.
