Book Review: An amazing read for everyone

Life is hard today as a teenager. So many things to balance - family, school, friends, achievements, events that alter our life experience. Crossing 13 is an incredible book outlining the events up to, afterwards, and including, the suicide of a loving father and the consequences of that event throughout the lives of his children, friends and family.
Carrie Stark Hugus has found a way to chronicle her life's most intimate lessons, into an interesting, captivating story. All true, she survived one of life's most difficult experiences - the suicide of her father. Too young to understand why, but too old to not question why, she finds the words and methods to weave a book you can't put down, no matter what age. When life's biggest challenges today can be rejection, low self esteem and lack of judgment, this book leads us through the trials of adolescence through the most serious of topics.
An easy read, every kid and parent should read this book as mandatory, to realize what they do have, as well as what is most important. Thumbs up to Carrie for sharing what most people might hide,but she is brave and courageous enough to print.
As the friend of a man who hung himself, leaving behind two yuoung children and a wife, a leader of a church youth group, and a survivor of the bodies left behind, I commend Carrie for her forthrightness and ability to help those left behind.
