Book Reviews of Creative Scrapbooking: Over 300 Cutouts, Patterns & Ideas to Embellish & Enhance Your Treasured MemoriesBook Review: Outdated, too simplistic for today's standards Summary: 3 StarsScrapbooking has come a long way in the last few years, and this book is proof! The samples are too simplistic, the directions are not specific enough, and the lack of ideas for personal creativity is not there. The reader can copy what is given in the book, and is not encouraged how to move on to create a work of art from the given product. Today's embellishments have also come a long way, and not can be seen in the book. A beginner can use the book as a starting point, but after they learn the beginning techniques they must buy a more current book!
Book Review: Ok! book, If beginner. Summary: 4 StarsIf you are a beginner scrap-booker this will be helpful to you. I wanted the book, hoping for a "how to" do some of Sandi's uses with the Sizzit Die Cut Machine. It was a little helpful but most of it I already knew.
Book Review: Outdated Book! Summary: 1 StarsI was very disappointed in this book. It seems to very outdated, and the ideas presented are not the most creative. Sure, the beginning scrapper could easily copy the layouts in the book, but they don't have that professional look that you expect to see in a scrapbooking book. The book does have a few good tips for beginning scrappers, and it has some patterns of diecuts in the back, which were helpful, however, I wouldn't recommend buying this book for those reasons alone.
Book Review: Not as expected Summary: 3 StarsThis book was not as I expected. It had some ideas if you want to work for awhile. I would not recommend this book to the beginning scrapbooker.
Book Review: Terrific and Simple Ideas Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great book for both the beginner and the advanced scrapbookers. There are wonderful examples, plenty of patterns and simple directions. A must have!
