Book Reviews of Courageous (The Lost Fleet, Book 3)

Book Review: just short of 5 stars
Summary: 4 Stars

So far the best book in the series. I would recommend reading this series in order though. It starts out with a nagging familiarity to the first 2 books but suddenly takes a turn and winds up with a real cliff hanger ending.

Interpersonal relationships become more important and John shows that he too can be depressed and uncertain.

Some good humor as what would you call a gadget with an acronym MMU which grazes in minerals but a moo moo or cow.

Overall outstanding read.

Book Review: Always keeps you hooked.
Summary: 4 Stars

I have read the first 4 (out of 5) in the series. What a great series! Excellent plot and character development, a lot of action without being inundated with detail.
The author creates a very real "space navy" complete with hierarchy, customs, tactics, history in enough detail to make it almost seem real. It's like a fictional Tom Clancy novel if he were to draw his characters and details from and existing space faring navy at war.
Highly recommended. I can't put them down.

Book Review: Brilliant move!
Summary: 4 Stars

The Lost Fleet series is the best space naval fiction I've come across. The books are long and drawn out, but have the detail and physics to back them up. I was particularly impressed by the brilliant tactic used at the end of Courageous. It was the best possible move and a perfect end to the book. I won't spoil it by giving it away, but it was brilliant!

Book Review: Good, fun read
Summary: 4 Stars

It's a decent space fighting series. Never get's too heavy and always moves along at a brisk pace. While I enjoy the long epic stories, sometimes it is nice to pick up something a little different.

My only problem is that the books were so short, that I caught up to the current published books very quickly.

Book Review: Good series
Summary: 4 Stars

This series just keeps on delivering.
It's fast paced and keeps you interested. I look forward very much to the next installment and can't wait until it comes out.
Good military sci-fi.
