not bad, not great. an amusing read, very original in content.
Book Review: One of the absolute worst books imaginable. Summary: 1 Stars
I stumbled across Weisbecker's book "In Search of Captain Zero" in the bargain rack of a local bookstore. I was extremely impressed after reading this delightful, inspirational book, so I was anxious to give "Cosmic Banditos" a try. I couldn't have possibly been more disappointed. This book is phenomenally bad. It comes across as the long version of something half-halfheartedly written by an 11 year old. With a pre-pubescent sense of imagination, to boot. How anyone could have any less imagination than to write nearly 200 pages about a group of lowlife druggies going from place to place and causing absolute mayhem without the slightest trace of caution, and with no apparent reason whatsoever for most of their idiotic misdeeds. The "plot" (I use that word loosely) is as disjointed as you can imagine, the characters are remarkably unlikeable, I could go on and on. It is incredible how an author who wrote such a colossal piece of crap, somehow went on to author such a great book as "In Search of Captain Zero". How this book ever achieved "cult status" is something that will boggle my mind for a long time to come.
Book Review: The most unintelligible piece of #### I have ever read Summary: 1 Stars
Basically the characters in this book get high, drunk, pass out and then spew fourth random misinformation about physics. This is repeated for 200 mind grueling pages. I love satire and comedy but this is not it.
