Book Review: Literatures Greatest Work!!

I first read this book in 1986, when as a student, I acquired an advance copy of it, complete with typo's and spelling errors. Since then, Cosmic Bandito's has taken on the status of a Gutenberg Bible with me.This tells a relatively straight forward story (hah, hah) of a Dope Smuggler's quest for cosmic philosophic enlightenment thru quantum mechanics, massive quantities of tequila, gratuitous use of high explosives, and a dog. Thus setting Weisbecker up to be my spiritual mentor.
Don't laugh, the author somehow makes it all work. Weisbecker managed to get thru a philosophy degree, several physics classes and 10 years in the military with the power of his admittedly distorted vision.
To illustrate how this works, lets use the Uncertainty Principle, typically taught with the use of Schrodinger's Cat. Weisbecker uses the Bandito Uncertainty principle, with the Observer only being able to see the outside of the Bandito filled tavern, when energy is applied (in the form of Tequila, and Dope) you can see the results visibly as Banditos are launched thru the tavern windows, or out the tavern doors. If, however, the Observer was to enter the Tavern, he or she would immediately impede the progress of the experiment as they would be in the way of flying Banditos.
This may not be for everyone, but I can assure you that once you read this book, you will never ever forget it.
In closing, I must make note of how Weisbecker has pioneered the footnote into a whole new form of literary genre. His use of the Time Traveling Footnote (TTF) has guaranteed him a place in the hall of literary heroes.

In my lifetime, there have been a select few Writers which I've held to Legendary status..,Hunter S. Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury stand out ahead of the pack. A.C. Weisbecker is the last among them alive. From the very first page, I knew I was in for a journey that would quite literally change my life. I was not disappointed. When any particular body of work can run you through the gamut of human emotions, you know you have taken part in something great.
It is difficult, and in fact undesirable, to place this book within a particular genre. For me, that's the sign of something wholly remarkable. You will laugh, you will contemplate your very existence, you will dream, wonder, and long to take a journey somewhere outside of the confines of your own life. It has been said that he "out gonzos" H.S. Thompson himself. While this is an extremely appropriate compliment, it isn't quite right. Allan Weisbecker stamps his own indelible mark in the history of writing, having creating a work of art quite unto itself, without true comparison.
This is a thinker's book, a slacker's book, a scholar's book, and a Writer's book. The pace is relentless, truly a "can't put it down" experience. I make it a point to read it once a year and it is as enjoyable as the first time, every time. Weisbecker is a genius.
Book Review: Not an ordinary book to simply be placed upon a coffeetable

Whilst waiting anxiously in an emergency room amongst almost 50 other people, cramped in cushionless metal chairs, tension was one of the first things to notice. Heat from the malfunctioning thermostat and the release of heat from my fellow endotherms (humans) made us literally sweat. I went there knowing that I would be admitted, monitored, and have surgery immediately for my rare disease. The puncher: I remembered that this book was in my bag along with numerous papers and clearance forms. Under all of that stress I was able to ease myself to a point just from reading this humerous text. I laughed for the first time in hours! I hardly find books like this. The characters are definitely unbelievable at times but rich in personality. The situations..you have to read to absorb, reflect, and laugh. I also found it to be great conversation material. :P
I strongly endorse this book. Who said literature need be ridden with typical characters and situations! Modern times, my friends, can be remarkable too. ^_^
Book Review: One of my top two books

I came upon this book in the bargain bin at Waldenbooks years ago. The introdutory quotes from Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking intrigued me. I flipped through pages and found the lyrics of a Jimmy Buffet song. Ok. I was sold. I bought the book and took it home and learned about quantum physics. Now for a guy who was a science major for several of my eleven years in college, this book taught me more about quantuim physics then I ever learned in a class. A.C. Weisbecker takes the theory of quarks and puts them in language that anyone could understand. And in a way that everyone will enjoy. Several years ago, I loaned the book out. It wasn't returned for nearly a year and I then swore never to lend it again. It is too valuable and too hard to find. Buy this book! You will not be sorry.Book Review: ...and stuff also

In 1991 this book was given to me by a fellow hitchhicker.I was traveling(21 year old single hippy chick)within South Africa,exploring.....life,the universe and everything.I read this book back to back continuesly over and over again for months,until I found someone else that needed to read it,lost track of my book and found it very very sad that I couldn,t laugh my arse off anymore.I started searching for the book again when I started hearing about the whole internet thing....still a bit off anet idiot but got friends to check for me.Disapiontment when I heard it was out of print.A friend found it this year for me.THANK YOU AMAZON>COM and mr Weisbecker.Could u please find yourself a website cause people like me would like to chat to you!MEAUW PRRRR AND ALL THAT OTHER GOOD STUFF
