I love all of James Peterson's books and recipes that I have tried....this one is the best so far... the book is well worth twice the price! It is exceptional for any level of cook- wish that I had this as my FIRST cookbook... it may have been the only one I truly needed to learn from!
The section on lamb is stunning....

I bought this for my husband he has the sauces and fish cookbooks by James Peterson as well. He is an experienced cook but he has been bored lately.
This is a wonderful book for all cooks, beginners or experienced. The meals are easy to prepare and very tasty. This was an excellent purchase.

This is a great book for technique, but I think it is probably too advanced for a beginning cook. Every recipe I've tried has been wonderful, but I've had to alter each one just a little to achieve the results I wanted.Book Review: One of the Best

As someone who loves to cook for my family and who has collected cooking books for many years, this is one of the very best. The book contains the best recipes in any cookbook I own and the illustrations are gorgeous.
