Book Reviews of Contact Harvest (Halo)Book Review: Into the depth of Avery's mind Summary: 5 Stars
Have you ever played the Halo games and felt that there was more to Sgt. Avery Johnson that what he was letting on? Well, there is, actually a lot more. This story does not only explore the Sargeant's past and personal feelings, but also the first contact between humanity and the Convenant. Halo 3's motto was "finish the fight!", this book motto should've been "Start the fight!".
It's an amazing books that apeals to both hardcore Halo fans, as well as science fiction fans. Being a bit of both I must say I loved it and I fully recommend it.
Book Review: C'mon, It's Halo! Summary: 5 Stars
Listen, if you're a fan of Halo, you are. If you're not you're not. So, Simply put, if you have played the games, you'll love the books. If you haven't played the games and Sci-Fi isn't your bag, don't bother. If you have heard a little bit about Halo but would like to know more... then you're only hurting yourself by NOT buying the books. My husband has been reading these for years and asks for the newest ones at every Christmas, Birthday, or Anniversary. Great, interesting books. They are better if you've played the games or plan on playing them.
Book Review: Very Enjoyable, One Of The Best Halo Novels Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed Contact Harvest. The story is interesting and well developed. The characters are well developed and empathetic, and by the end I was cheering on the small band of heroes striving believably against extremely long odds. Plus, it centers around Sgt. Johnson, whom I particularly like in the games :). There is only one goofy bit right at the very end (you'll know it right away when you see it), but it doesn't spoil anything.
Book Review: Mind boggling Summary: 5 Stars
This book took all the assumptions about the Covenant I had and turned them on their head. After reading this you will have an "Oh, now I understand" moment. This book (Which takes place before all the other halo games, even Reach) will make the series come full circle, and gives the story a whole new layer of depth. A great book and a great addition to the story.
Book Review: Great book Summary: 5 Stars
I've read the others and have to say the halo books still haven't lost their appeal, still enjoy reading them non stop late into the night. This one doesn't have John in it but gives a background of the beginning of the battle.
