Book Reviews of Command Decision (Vatta's War)Book Review: space epic Summary: 4 StarsThe first thing you need to do is get a hold of the other three books of the Vatta's War series. They are fast moving and full of excitement throughout the series. There are space battles, spies, other people who do not like what is going on, murderers and a lot of plots and some of those in your own family. If you like SF and space travel, and are looking for something exciting... you should give this series a try. You may be more than entertained; you may have a great time... of course that is up to you.

Book Review: Honor's Little Sister Summary: 4 StarsKy Vatta will be Honor Harrington when she grows up. I read all five books in this series straight through. Do yourself a favor, read them in order. Elizabeth Moon has earned a spot on my "favorite authors" list.
Book Review: Ms. Moon is in Command Summary: 5 StarsA good series just gets better. Her ability to write epic stories in multiple volumes is well proven. This is space opera at it best.
Note to the new comer. This is truely a serial story and you do need to start at the begining.
Book Review: Lame story with lame characters Summary: 1 StarsTitle says it all. This series has gotten steadily worse with each new volume. The writing is awful and the plot is contrived. I find myself repeatedly rereading paragraphs in order to discern their meaning. Moon just doesn not write very clearly.
Book Review: Slugging My Way Through This Series Summary: 4 StarsWell this is the fourth book of this series and I feel at this point I'm so invested in this series I'm compelled to continue on. The first book starts out OK and does set things up for novel after novel to continue but it's painstakingly slow. So much of these novels involve fixing their ships, shopping, trading, and getting into some breech of etiquette on some space station that she and her crew have to flee for their lives. Come on, get on with it already and let's have some action! Command Decision gives us that action finally. Hopefully her upcoming book hit's the ground running. The 4 books so far in this series could have been condensed into 1 or 2 easily or the author could have given us 4 books with a lot more action and not so much shopping and trading.
Why do these Science Fiction writers all write their stories in series. I'll go to the book store and find what may be a great book but then notice it's Book #7. What? I have time to read 6 other previous books to get to the one I'm looking at?
