Both my boys have this book (ages 8 & 5) and they both love it! My 8 yr. old can add coins himself, and I work on it with the 5 yr. old. We have also bought this as a gift, and he loved it too! You can't go wrong!Book Review: A Perfect Birthday Gift

This book has been wonderful for our 7 year old daughter. In easy to understand terms, she has learned how coins are made, what coins used to be made of and why they have changed, and has seen what coins used to look like. There are slots to collect just about every type of coin that the U.S. has made.It is a fun book! She has learned quite a bit of history through this book. We are using it as our history book this year, as we are home educators. She has come closer to her great-grandfather because he used to be an avid coin collector. He is happy to help her out in any way that he can!
I rate this book at 4 stars because of 1 page. "The Millenium Money Tree" page. It's for the year 2000, and the new millenium does not begin until 2001.
