This Christmas I bought this book for my nephew (2nd grade). He was absolutely thrilled. With just a few coins in his collection, he was able to place his coins and get excited about what to be on the hunt for. The pages are filled with colorful illustrations and historical excerpts. Perfect for that first-collection kiddo. It's been very popular with my first graders and with several kids lucky enough to get it as a present. Very sturdy, too, a big plus. But beware, it turns the kids into coin fanatics! Any new state quarters elicit huge excitement and many happy scenes in stores, etc.Book Review: Great book!

This is the perfect beginner start-up book. I got it for my son at six and we use it pretty much every week; it's been a wonderful sharing experience. This is the BEST coin-collecting book I've ever seen. It's so fun to try to find the coins to fill it. It's been a great family activity, too. I even gave one as a gift. The book contains great information and fun facts. Some of the illustrations are goofy, but the facts are interesting.Book Review: Great starter book

Both my kids and husband enjoyed this book. It's a great way to collect not only state quarters, but other coins as well. All the coins are easily obtainable without a trip to the coin collector shop. It's a great way to get anyone into collecting.
