Book Reviews of ClarityBook Review: This Prem Rawat has a way with words - the words evoke the need to explore my assumptions Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book from a colleague as a birthday present. At first, I did not think much of it (being one of these people that are born "inoculated" against most things "spiritual"), but with time, I came to appreciate it, and each time I read I found some new understanding...
I have found myself opening a page at random, and letting the text evoke a feeling...
Today's random page started with these words:
"There is a happiness that is not transitory.
There is one kind of happiness that can last through a life
It's always there"
... and end with these:
"In this word of chaos,
we can connect to something that is serene"
"In this world of turmoil
we can connect to something that is peaceful"
These are simple, yet compelling words, because they evoke a need that I have always known I had, but did not dare to acknowledge. I mean, is that really possible? Can I really connect to something serene in the midst of chaos? And if it is possible, how it is possible that I have missed it?
In summary: an invitation to explore our assumptions about what we really want from life and what is possible, even for those thick-skin skeptics like me.

Book Review: Refocussing on beauty Summary: 5 Stars
The literature of the eastern and western world has many examples of writing that are both challenging and strangely comforting; they focus the reader's attention on an "interior" life. Writers from eastern traditions in the genre include Rumi (Jelaluddin Balkhi), Kabir and Kahil Gibran. In the west, poets like William Blake and W.B. Yeats offer similar repasts which are often hidden in difficult metaphors.
Clarity does not deal in difficult metaphors; on the contrary, the language of this work is striking in its simplicity, yet it is directed to the deepest human desires for stillness. Author Prem Rawat writes in a way that is much more personal than the poets mentioned above, addressing the reader with an immediacy that is almost confronting if it were not so genuine. Rawat poses the possibility that a different way to experience life does exist.
The essential element of the book is stillness. It has the quality of being able to take the reader into a feeling that is removed from the humdrum of daily existence into a mental space of self-sufficiency and quietude. Rather than the ugliness of a crime novel or examples of inhumanity in the newspaper, Rawat suggests an optimism that many readers will know, in their deepest selves, is real.
Keep this one for bedtime reading.
Book Review: The Perfect Feeling Summary: 5 Stars
In his book 'Clarity,' Prem Rawat expresses in gentle, heartfelt prose poetry a simple, timeless truth; that human beings can, if they so wish, find what they are looking for within themselves. I am invited to explore and fulfil my own potential to appreciate and enjoy the peace that comes from knowing the essential and the beautiful within my own heart:
'When peace comes to the heart,
serenity follows.
It comes in abundance.
Love comes flooding -
uncontrolled.
Joy cannot be held back.
It bursts through the doors
because something is right.
That is peace.
Can there be peace?
Yes, there can be peace.
It begins in the heart of each person.'
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it reflects the dearest feeling I have come to know and to adore. Prem Rawat describes it with wisdom and, indeed, with perfect clarity!
Prem Rawat is rapidly becoming recognised as an international exponent of an approach that sees personal peace as a pre-requisite to world peace. 'Clarity' encapsulates the essence of his message and will appeal to those interested in the process of self-discovery.
Book Review: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of these books that will demonstrate the old axiom of "the beauty is in the eye of the beholder". For these people that are thirsty for the water of understanding and beauty, this book is a glass of fresh and pure water that will leave them with the sweet taste of quenching the thirst.
On the other hand, for these people that are not thirsty for beauty, and that are quite happy to live a life based on rationalizations, this book will have no value as their lives are probably already fulfilled (read: if you are not thirsty, what is the taste of water?)
So, if you want to be challenged and inspired to assert your right to live a fulfilled life, this book is for you. I would only recommend it to those that want to *know*, not to those that think they *know*, for those will not appreciate the difference.
If you want to debate endlessly and conform with established principles of what is happiness and what does it mean to be successful in life, my recommendation is: don't buy this book. But if you want to be challenged in a sweet manner and compelled to accept what you know you deserve, go ahead and buy it. You will not be disappointed.

Book Review: " CLARITY " over confusion Summary: 5 Stars
As the title suggests, this book is what it claims to be-Clarity. While I may not be an avid reader myself, I have written numerous expressions and observations in forms of poems since high school and was surprised when few of them unfolded as songs.
Yes,this author, who has been known by different names affectionately over many years beginning in his native India since childhood,I feel has simply penned that which is true -
A courageous and noble attempt to claim that today when I look around the state of this world, peace is possible - within.
I commend Mr Rawat, who I've had the pleasure to meet and converse with, in voicing his feelings which I also concur with - in my words, that I choose "Clarity" over confusion.
Clarity is a book with a difference. It challenges the many novels out there where the content is concerned as the author presents a perspective which is not only simple and obvious but thought provoking and heart-warming. I find it intriguing how Mr Rawat aligns and utilises what we call language to convey his human feelings.
Personally, Clarity is highly recommended for those who want simplicity in their life.
