Book Reviews of Clapton: The AutobiographyBook Review: Received This as a Christmas Gift Summary: 5 Stars
I received this book as a Christmas gift about a couple of years ago. I can identify with Mr. Clapton's self-esteem and addiction issues that he struggled with. I'm glad that he is currently in recovery, is continuing his 12th-Step work, and I hope that he continues to stay clean and sober one day at a time. This disease is patient and relapse can easily happen if one doesn't continue working on recovery.
Book Review: Eric's Story Summary: 5 Stars
i really enjoyed reading about EC's life. i had a little bit of trouble with the English slang, but was able to figure most of it out by using context clues.
i had no idea that he had had such a troubled life. i always had the impression that he was sort of a quiet virtuoso, if you will. teach me to assume!
i am glad that i read this book and i highly recommend it.
Book Review: A soulful journey from the abyss to redemption. Summary: 5 Stars
Clapton has penned a compelling, unembellished story of what it means to be a rock star. From humble beginnings, he became shining star in a constellation of rock legends. Through it all, mystic devotion to his craft kept him grounded in reality and ultimately saved him from the self-destruction endemic to the profession. A superb read!
Book Review: Clapton Summary: 5 Stars
Clapton, the Autobiography is a must read for the 60's, 70's and 80's crowds. Clapton played with all the greats; Beatles, Stones, kinks, Cream, just to mention a few. His adventures through life are eye opening and crazy. Pick it up, sit back, and open up memories from the past.
Book Review: Clapton: The Autobiography Summary: 5 Stars
An Excellent book, Clapton bares his soul. He's faced his demons and tells it all with true sincerity. You'll put this book down with a whole new respect for Eric Clapton. He's a hero with or with out Rock and Roll.
