Book Reviews of ChrysanthemumBook Review: Chrysanthemum Summary: 5 Stars
Chrysanthemum is a wonderful book that helps children understand feelings and how to accept ones self despite thoughtless children and hurtful comments. As an elementary special education teacher, I enjoy reading this book at the begining of each school year.
Book Review: Chrysanthemum hits a nerve! Summary: 5 Stars
Chrysanthemum hits a nerve with all the first graders I have ever taught in school. Everyone is so afraid of being teased about something and Chrysanthemum scores a victory in the end. It's great for the first of school for the young set.
Book Review: The best picture book on earth! Summary: 5 Stars
I am in Junior High and I still love this book! I read it for the first time in the 1st grade and enjoyed it very much. Its about a girl mouse who is teased about what an ugly, long name she has.. but finds out it isnt so bad after all.
Book Review: A great book for your Girly-Girl Summary: 5 Stars
My 5 year old daughter is all about pretty girly things. This cute little story of a girl with a unique name is one of her favorites. It's a wonderful story about being proud of who you are regardless of what others think of you. A+.
Book Review: Wonderful! Summary: 5 Stars
I had to read this book for a reading class I was taking. I feel in love with this book. Growing up with an unusual name can be painful at times(believe me I know). Kevin Henkes shows us that unique is wonderful.
