Book Review: Great help for parents dealing with an ASD

This was the first book I read after my 2yr old was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. As a parent dealing with an ASD, it is initially overwhelming and this book helped me formulate a plan for my son. My advice for anyone facing this dx is to approach autism from the biological perspective by seeking a DAN! doctor, as well as an educational perspective by seeking early intervention. My son has made great progress over the past 3 months with methyl-B12 shots and his wonderful early interventionist and speech therapist. Just beware of medical professionals who charge thousands of dollars just to tell you to try the CFGF diet. I ran into one of those and never booked the appointment when I heard of the required $1,000 "nutritional consult" with the nurse. This book is priceless when it comes to finding out which testing/ treatments are right for your child and will aid you in your journey with a DAN! doctor. It will empower you as a parent and give you the info you need to treat your child instead of just making random guesses at special diets or treatments.
