Book Reviews of Chicken Soup with Rice: A Book of MonthsBook Review: sip it once sip it twice Summary: 5 Stars
Kids would like this because it rhymes. And it has very interesting pictures. It's also written in very good detail. Here are some quotes from the book-"In January It's so nice while slipping on the sliding ice" In May, mix it once mix it twice mix that chicken soup with rice.
Book Review: Darling! Summary: 5 Stars
The same author wrote "Where the Wild Things Are." Carol King wrote a great song that matches all the lyrics. The illustrations are fabulous. I wish I could buy it hardbound and larger. It is a tiny book and easily misplaced. My 3 year-old carries it everywhere.
Book Review: Enchanting poetry for children....forever remembered. Summary: 5 Stars
A wonderful book of monthly poetry. Written with a continuous thematic strand. A perfect resource for primary children using poetry to introduce the months. Great for memorization skills and phonemic awareness. A must for all primary teachers.
Book Review: A childhood favorite Summary: 5 Stars
This was my favorite book when I was growing up. Each week, when I would go to the library with my mom, I would take this book out. Finally I received a copy as a gift one year! It is fun, playful, silly, engaging.
Book Review: Beautiful illustrations! Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book when I was a kid and to this day I can recite almost every word of it. Maurice Sendaks illustrations are out of this world. He has great talent and skill. This book is a must for all children.
