Book Reviews of Chasing Harry Winston: A Novel

Book Review: I thought it was good
Summary: 4 Stars

I actually really enjoyed this book! I was surprised to see such bad reviews for it. I thought the story did have a plot and although there was no huge climax of the book or anything like that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished the book in just a couple of nights. I haven't read any of the other books by Weisberger yet, but after reading this one I will. Especially after reading the reviews on here since apparently those are so much better :P

All in all i really enjoyed this book. I thought it was fun and witty. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the ending. I thought it didn't finish well... I think a chapter was ripped out of my book or something :|

Book Review: Light, romantic comedy. Very good chick lit.
Summary: 4 Stars

I am guilty of skim reading so I initially missed some of the character changes and had to start the book over by chapter 3. When the author switches character stories there are no obvious breaks so it takes a few chapters to get used to.

Sorry for those who did not enjoy, but if you thought the characters were shallow; what were the expectations about a plotline of three single women living in New York in their 20's chasing after men and diamond rings? I picked up the novel because I just wanted something light, and fun. If you enjoyed reading Sex in The City or Confessions of a Shopaholic then you will most likely enjoy this book.

Book Review: Fun travel book
Summary: 4 Stars

This book saved me during a 9 hour bus trip. It was a totally fun, light read, that was very Sex and the City. I found myself thinking about he characters days after I was finished with the book - I grew attached! The book is well researched and very current. I did think that the beginning was slow and the trip to Bonaire could have been a lot funnier. Some parts were even repetitive (Adriana's beauty). However, there were many pleasant twists and surprises and I loved the development with the bird! Overall it was a happy, fun, & light read, and I am happy that I read it!

Book Review: A fun book
Summary: 4 Stars

I've never written a review for a book before but I felt compelled to after reading some of the very harsh reviews on this book. Granted it is not a life changing book but I think the title, cover, and storyline adequately give that away. This was a very easy and entertaining read. Even though I don't have the same lifestyle as the main characters, I was able to relate to many of the issues that each one was dealing with. The story about Otis was a great addition! All in all I really enjoyed the book and read it in two days. A perfect book to curl up by the fire with.

Book Review: Good book with a kind of fizzle ending...
Summary: 4 Stars

I enjoyed reading this book SO much...I identified with different elements of each girl, and had quite a few laugh out loud moments. The only problem for me was the ending, which didn't really give enough insight into what happened when they finally ironed out some of their relationship issues. I hope that means there is a sequel coming??

Overall, it was a very enjoyable light read :)
