Book Review: Good Book!

I'm not sure I agree with many of the other 1,2, & 3 star reviews, but it might have something to do with this being my first novel read written by Lauren Weisberger. No, I only saw the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada" - never read the book. So, I had nothing to compare "Chasing Harry Winston" to as far as her previous efforts. However, since I thoroughly enjoy mostly 'chick lit', I have to admit that I found this book completely enjoyable and addicting. I just couldn't put it down!
Great read if you like 'chick lit' and enjoy reading about sex, women, juicy gossip, and secrets, then this is the book for you. It might not be Award-winning, but it is a very interesting and entertaining read.

Chasing Harry Winston has everything a girl could ask for in a book. Break ups, sexy flings, globetrotting, pain-in-the-butt mothers--every woman will relate to, or wish she was one of the three main characters in this book. Despite their fabulous New York City careers and connections, these girls aren't perfect--Leigh is completely neurotic, Adriana is a total commitmentphone and Emmy is stuck in a crippling slump. They all need and rely on each other to get through the tough stuff. This is a refreshing story about great frienships, set in the greatest city in the world. It's fun, witty and perfect for the beach.

I really enjoyed both "Devil Wears Prada" and "Chasing Harry Winston." Chasing Harry Winston is a great book and a fun read. I tend to lean towards classics or mystery books, but this was a light-hearted, engaging story that at times was funny, heart-warming and human. I honestly can't wait for the movie! It's excellent story telling with relatable characters. This is not supposed to be a serious, mind-altering book. Lighten up and enjoy the ride! I absolutely adore Lauren Weisberger, and this book was a charm. It tells the story of 3 girlfriends, and their quest for fun, love, jobs, and sex. They are all so different, but any woman can relate to them! It was very cute and I enjoyed every minute of it. I actually found myself laughing out loud during certain sections. For anyone who loved the Devil Wears Prada, will adore this book! Can't wait for a sequel, or a movie to come out!Book Review: Couldn't put it down!

I have read all of Lauren's other books and I was so anxious to read this book because I really enjoy the way she writes and how it flows. Chasing Harry Winston did NOT disappoint! Loved the story and the friendships that were involved in the story.. She definately makes me want to read MORE about these girls in the story. I read this book in 2 days and did not want to put it down. Now I can't wait to read her next book!
