Book Review: Six "charming" quilts

I am a "fabriholic" like most quilters and I am always looking for ways to use those fat quarters I just couldn't resist! CHARMED provides me with six ways to do just that!
The first few pages talks about building a charm square collection - just in case you haven't already!! What got my attention in that section was how to organize a charm swap. I had never thought about doing that but what a great idea. One way was to distribute a list of each person participating to each person. If you did this, you could do a swap world-wide. Just think of the wonderful fabrics you could have!!
There are four pages of quilt basics for your review or to refresh your memory. And tips are provided in soft purple boxes. The six projects are well written with materials lists, cutting instructions, assembly instructions, lots of graphics to show you the steps, templates if needed, and how-to on appliqu?s and quilt top assembly.
The bindings range from "just a binding" or prairie points and finally scallops. Finished quilt size and finished block size are given below the color picture of the finished quilt. The sizes range from 63" square to 80 ?" by 89" and various sizes in between. I love the colors shown but there is no reason you have to stay with these colors. Use what you have in your own charm collection of fabrics. Go for it!
