Book Review: Nice abridgement
Summary: 4 Stars
This abridged version of the book is nicely enough done for the pages allowed and the age group targeted. There are some pictures from the Burton version of the movie. Overall it is nice enough but nothing whizbang. I had not read the original full length book, but I had seen both the Wilder and Depp versions of movies, and AFTER I read this purchase I got the original book and read it. Reading this abridged version first made the original easier to read, because I find Dahl's writing a bit tight until you get used to it.
