Book Reviews of Certain Girls: A NovelBook Review: It made me feel betrayed Summary: 1 Stars
I had come to count on Jennifer Weiner as someone I could trust, when I wanted some light, fun reading. This was it, to a point. The ending left me incredibly depressed, and feeling that Jennifer had betrayed me. I can no longer trust the type of read I'd be getting with her name on the cover, and for that reason, I will no longer read her books. It's a shame, because she's talented, and I had enjoyed her previous works. I don't expect them all to be the same, but this was like buying a ticket to see a comedy, and being shown a tear-jerker instead.
Book Review: Terrible Summary: 1 Stars
Nothing like the fun that Good In Bed was. Cannie turned out to be just another woman w/ a teenaged daughter. There was nothing special about her at all. Even still, it was an OK book.
HOWEVER, the ending ruined everything! What a lazy way to end a book. Ok, I get that there are depressing books out there but they are also most of the times beautiful stories (A thousand splendid suns, etc). This was just a mediocre story with an awful ending. I almost felt betrayed.
Book Review: Disappointing ending! Summary: 1 Stars
I am a huge fan of Jennifer Weiner's, and I was so excited when she wrote a sequel to Good In Bed...
I was enjoying this book all the way up until the ending. The ending to Certain Girls is a HUGE
disappointment!
