Book Reviews of Celtic Magic (Llewellyn's World Religion & Magick)Book Review: A Good Start Summary: 4 Stars
DJ Conway is one of my favorite authors. In this book she gives a basic quick guide about Celtic Magic that I recommend to anyone who is looking into the Celtic pantheon. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this to someone who has worked Celtic magic for years, but if you are very new the the Celtic Myth and Magic this is a good book to get. Conway gives all around basics and quick references so you can get a basic understanding of it. But don't solely rely on this book, keep doing research because this book won't give everything you need to lead a path of Celtic influence.
Book Review: Good Beginners Book for those on Celtic Path Summary: 4 Stars
This book offers a much needed guide into the Celtic path. If you read and study it; it will peak your interest. There is an excellent guide to Celtic Gods and Goddesses in this book. There is an excellent guide to the use of herbs in this book also. I think that you will find it helpful. It tells the truth about some pagan dieties that many authors miss. The celtic rituals in the book are enjoyable and easy to do. This is a must have for anyone who is just beginning to walk the celtic path.
Book Review: Good things Come in Small Packages Summary: 4 Stars
I will admit that this book may not be the best for learning "Wicca", BUT it does not claim to either. It is specifically a nice small book, with celtic mythology and referances and a very reaonable price. It surely can be used as a referance for the Wiccan way of life, but there are many alternate paths that shall find this book interesting. For a celetic flair in your life or for the curious, I do recomend this book.
Book Review: A good reference book for any Wiccan Summary: 4 Stars
This book is well planned out reference book. "Celtic Magic" includes Celtic lore, common Spells and Rituals, common names for the God and the Goddess plus much more. This book should be used as a reference and not as a starting book. I would recomend this book for anyone serious about the Wiccan or the Celtic religions
Book Review: informative Summary: 4 Stars
I've been a solitary for many years and have recently picked this book up. It is refreshing to read about the craft from D.J. Conway's perspective. It contains many details that I hadn't considered and has revived my personal practice of magic.
A good read and a great resource for like-minded pagans and wiccans.
