Book Reviews of Celebrity Detox: (The Fame Game)Book Review: Short but great read Summary: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of Rosie's for quite a while and read her blog daily. To some, she has turned a corner from being queen of nice to queen of not-so-nice. I don't see this. She is being herself and this is what she writes about in Celebrity Detox. It's her honest words and feelings. Many of the things she speaks about is her truth and even though some may not agree with what she says, we should be content with the fact that we don't get the run-around with another celebrity and all the "nice"ties of fame.
Book Review: Actually better than Dr. Phil Summary: 5 Stars
Despite her hateful detractors, Rosie really has some incredible insights into the human psyche. Her book is all about TRUE family values. I am not sure why so-called 'Conservatives' like AIDS militant Andrew Sullivan hate her so much. She has successfully raised some fantastic and healthy kids. It seems odd that multiple divorcees like Limbaugh and single gay men like Matt Drudge despise Rosie so much. Everyone I know who has actually read the book has experiences significant spiritual growth.
Book Review: Bad Review by Book Maniac Summary: 5 Stars
The review by book maniac was not a real review. Doubt it was even read by that person. Look at the that person's other reviews and you will see they are an Ann Coulter fan. That tells you right there that they would be against anything Rosie says or does. That type of person wouldn't even read her book.
Great book. All profits go to her charity. She really opens up in this book and tells what it's liketo be and does to a celebrity.
Book Review: Risky, honest and compelling. Summary: 5 Stars
Rosie is brave and her honesty is inspiring.
This book made me look at my own life and ask, am I living my life to the fullest? Am I present enough with my family/children? Do I appreciate the small moments of life, or do I rush through it? This is what Rosie does best, she holds a mirror up to her celebrity self and somehow we see ourselves in the reflection.
Bravo, Rosie.
Book Review: A great read, Answered alot of questions I had Summary: 5 Stars
I was a fan of The View for years and was a even bigger fan when Rosie joined. I stopped watching when she left.
This book really gave me closure to that. It answered alot of questions I had about what really went on, what really happened, if the gossip was true.
I am not a big reader but I got through this in two days, and loved every minute of it. I was completely enthralled.
