Book Reviews of Cat & Mouse (Alex Cross)

Book Review: Cats, mice, humans, hamsters any living thing will love this
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the first James Patterson book I ever read and it addicted me. This sensational book has not one but two serial killers for Cross to deal with. One he has dealt with before, Gary Soneji but Mr. Smith is a new challenge.

You don't need to have read the previous three Alex Cross novels to love and get into this one. This one you won't be able to put down until you've finished so get you're work done now because you'll be reading this whenever you get a moment.

Short well written chapters make this a breeze to read and if you have to go to work or something you can start a chapter or a few knowing you'll finish it quickly.

If you like detective books, thrillers or serial killer genre then this one is for you.

Book Review: Fantastic thriller!
Summary: 5 Stars

Although this book is #4 in the Alex Cross series, it was my first introduction to James Patterson. And I must say, I was truley blown away by it. Patterson's crisp, economic writing style moves with a speed unlike any other author I have read. Opening the first page of this book was like jumping into a moving car. His storytelling absolutely burns up the page. If you want an edge-of-your-seat thriller with twists and turns that keep you turning the pages, Patterson is your man. And as an aside, it's a real delight to have an African American as a protagonist for a change. Too often they are assigned "buddy" roles or supporting cast type stuff.

Book Review: Patterson is Great Again
Summary: 5 Stars

In this book, Alex Cross, a homocide detective from Washington DC, will have on his hands a case unlike any he has had before. He will have to deal with the return of his worst enemy, Gary Sonjei who is out to finish the job of killing Cross.
This book is a non-stop thrill ride because Patterson keeps it moving with new characters and great plot twists. Alex Cross is a interesting character and Patterson does a lot to go into the mind of Cross in this unlike his other works. This is the first novel where Alex is interested in a relationship with the woman he is with.
This book is for anyone who enjoys mysteries and lots of action.

Book Review: GOOD ENTERTAINMENT
Summary: 5 Stars

I just finished this book and I certainly enjoyed it. James Patterson writing style with short chapters makes this book move. There is almost a cliff hanger at every turn. Cat and Mouse is a pulsating game. At one time about 2/3 way through the book I thought I had the answer to the puzzle, but J.P. proved me wrong. I suggest you go out and buy the book before his new Alex Cross book comes out, Roses Are Red. James Patterson so far has referred to the other Alex Cross books in each new story, so beware. The character Alex Cross is one of the best african-american protagonist of the modern thriller genre, and of the most likable.

Book Review: A great read!
Summary: 5 Stars

As I finsihed reading Cat & Mouse I moaned in deparation that I had to wait for Patterson's book to find out what happened. Recently, I traveled to the US and inquired about the new book. To my surprise I learned that the ending I read was different from the ending everyone else read in the US. My book was purchased in the UK. When I was in the UK last week I was still unable to find the new book. Can anyone help me? First, has the next book been published? Second, where can I obtain a copy of the book that continues with the ending I read which is where Christine is kidnapped in Bermuda?
