Again, another novel by James Patterson in the Alex Cross series that will get your attention- and not let go!This is one of my favorites of Patterson's, having read it a few years ago it still sticks out in my mind as a fast-paced thriller. And the more I read of Alex Cross, the more I like him. With two mad-men out to get Cross, you can't guess what will happen in this book! Never a dull moment.
If you're looking for a new author to try in the crime thriller genre, you should definitely add Patterson to your "to-read" list!

Being the first James Patterson book that I have read, Cat and Mouse captured the essence of what makes a story a bestseller. I was enthralled from beginning to end at the ongoing tensions involving Alex Cross and Gary sonejei, through the extensive use of descriptive language and blood-thirsty action throughtout the chapters. Sitting on the edge of your seat until the last pages, Cat and Mouse leaves you in suspence at what will happen next to the characters, leaving you pondering until the next of Patterson's books arrive.Book Review: Terrifying

James Patterson knows how to write one heck of a scary book. A cold blooded murderer, Soneji, is on the loose and killing everyone who crosses his path. In Europe, another psycho, "Mr. Smith", is continuing to mutilate his victims before killing them. No one has a clue who he is and he's already outsmarted the police through 22 murders. Will they ever catch him?I didn't want to put this book down. It just grabs you and you have to keep reading. An excellent screaming terror.

Wow...this book got me dying to read on and on and on...It starts off slow...maybe its cause i was tired hearing about Gary Soneji...I listened to the Audiobook (which Keith David did a great Alex Cross) and when i got to the second tape or around the middle...i was not impressed. I got to the middle at 2am in the morning driving to my home and i had to go inside and finish the whole book. It is simply amazing...not my favorite of the series...but top 5...easily...A MUST READ!!Book Review: one of the best patterson books!

Cat and Mouse is a heart-racing book you won't want to put down, and it will have you continually questioning just who is the cat and who is the mouse. Mr. Smith, Cross's psychopathic murdering rival, surpasses Soneji in his cruelty and intelligence and shocks even the avid Patterson reader. Surprises too are in store in this novel as Patterson is known for. I enjoyed every minute reading this book -- it made an 11-hour flight seem much shorter. Read it!
