Book Review: Disappointing to this listener

While I had heard a lot of Carolyn Myss, held her in high regard, and owned several of her books, I had not heard her speak. I saw another massage therapist listening to this CD set and just ordered the CDs based on that. What a shock.
From the reviews I see that Carolyn does help some people, and we all have different tastes, but personally I found her attitude unsettling and unpleasant. I was really surprised at how much I did not like the CDs.
Recommendation for the reader? See if you can listen to some of her CDs before buying them, so you'll have an idea if she's helpful to you or not. I'll be selling my set to someone else!

I have loved allot of Carolyn Myss's work in the past, but this one is just a real disappointment. She brings up allot of very good points in the program, but falls short in addressing them. She either does not completely address a paticular point or she just goes on a rant that totally takes away from the point she was originally trying to make. There is so much overly opinionated commentary on her part that you begin to tune out her voice. I hope this is not what we can continue to expect from her future work.Book Review: Myss should be in films...

Myss should be in films...because all she ever does is project her own insecurities on to her audience. I get the feeling that if something happened to her that she didn't like she'll talk about it in her lecture, make the other person wrong to make her feel better about herself. She could really use a little vegetarianism or meditation, two practices seh seems to think that she is above.Book Review: What a waste of time!

I was very disappointed in this CD set. Caroline spent most of the time talking about the pit falls of human nature and how wonderful she is as a healer. What an ego! I found myself zoning out so much that I don't even remember most of it. Save your money, but if you must purchase it-get it used.
