Book Reviews of Carmina Burana: Vocal ScoreBook Review: Nice, clear, and large Summary: 5 Stars
This score is what you'd expect from a German publisher (Schott -- Hal Leonard is only the distributor) -- very clearly and legibly printed on excellent paper -- with the small print in the old men's score in comparison I was hopelessly lost.
Having all parts (including solos) together also helps a lot.
But you lose compactness - you'll have to hold a pretty heavy book in hand, and do a lot of page flipping, so it's not for everyone.
Book Review: Beats heck out of the part score for chorus Summary: 5 Stars
This book has the full vocal score, well-printed, well laid-out. If you're doing Carmina, you want this score! Clear type, adequate size, good binding, and you can see what the other parts are doing, which really helps most choral singers.
Expensive, but worth it. Particularly if you're going to do Carmina maybe 5-10 times in your career.
Book Review: very helpful Summary: 5 Stars
I found it very helpful to have the score with the piano reduction, so I can track what the other part, the orchestra and the soloists are doing.
One worries about coming in wrong, and losing count of dozens of measures.
Great book, great price!
Thank you!!!!
Book Review: PERFECT FOR THE CARMINA BURANA SINGER. Summary: 5 Stars
THIS SCORE IS PERFECT SINCE IT HAS ALL VOICES AND THE ACCOMPANIMENT. WHETHER SINGING IT OR FOLLOWING ALONG WITH A RECORDING, IT IS TERRIFIC. HEY, AND IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN HOME, YOU CAN BE THE STAR.
Book Review: Exactly what I was looking for... Summary: 5 Stars
This musical masterpiece is so interesting, every choral member should have this version with all the vocal parts and the piano.
