Book Reviews of Carlson's Guide to Landscape PaintingBook Review: Great book for intermediate to advanced painters Summary: 5 Stars
This book was recommended by an art teacher and is well worth going through to refine your technique. I thought it was well written and a great instructional tool that helped with landscape paintings layout and thinking through to the end of a painting and keeping your goals in mind and ending up with a successful work of art.
Book Review: amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
this book is invaluable for the landscape painter. it is not a step-by-step book--more of a deeper guide for someone who knows a bit about painting. it would still help any person truly interested. i have used much of the information in my high school painting class, and it has helped my students immensely.
Book Review: The Landscape Painter's Bible Summary: 5 Stars
A great reference and interesting reading for all phases of landscape painting, Carlson's guide has been referred to by art instructors, and novice painters alike. If there was only one landscape book you had the money to buy, this would be it. All black and white examples. Easy to understand concepts.
Book Review: Must Have Book Summary: 5 Stars
This book is instructional, (but NOT in the "step-by-step" sense, it's not), and also a very good read. This book is not for the "learning to paint" types, but rather for the "learning about ART" types. Carlson is a Classic, a must-have book, if you're as interested in art as I am.
Book Review: Carlson's Guide to Landscape Painting Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a must for artists who want to learn the correct way to paint the landscape. It not only teaches the important concepts of landscape painting, but also gives reasons for the concepts. Carlson's Guide to Landscape Painting will be a study guide and reference book for me.
