Book Review: A MUST have for any family affected by AS

My 10-year-old son struggled for more than seven years until just recently when he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Our therapist recommended the Oasis guide, and while purchasing it online, I saw this book also.
Thank God I ordered it. My son began to read it as soon as I got it out of the box. I will never forget the look on his face when he realized that yes, we now really do understand why he is the way he is. He read the entire book--out loud--to me, read it again out loud to his dad, and a third time out loud to our sitter. All along the way, he would say, "That's just like me!"
We also made his older sister read the book so she could understand AS and how it makes him the way he is.
My son had lost hope that he would ever be a "good" kid until he read this book. Now he knows that finally we really DO understand what's going on and how to manage it. He now has hope for the first time in a very long time.
If a child is too young to read the book, buy it and read it to him or her. It's excellent for the whole family.
