Buddha has always been a mystery since there is so little known about him. This book is well written and detailed enough in all the characters that you feel you are present with Buddha through all his tribulations. I enjoyed each page and appreciated the slight spiritual detours the book took to introduce us to meditation and peace of mind. A keeper. Enjoy!Book Review: Inspirational Fiction

It is difficult to comment on Deepak Chopra's books; I always feel I haven't done the book justice. That said, and at the risk of sounding grandiose:
this book is another priceless experience. If you want to understand what Buddha achieved and experience his journey, Dr. Chopra can take you there.

I really enjoyed this novel about Buddha's life! Chopra does an excellent job fleshing out the known details of his early life and, at the same time, giving the reader a basic understanding of the man and origins and basics of Buddhism. I highly recommend it!Book Review: Loved it!

Deepak Chopra is one of the few authors who seems to just get better with age. Not only is this novel informative from a historical basis, it is also inspiring and uplifting. I listend to the 9 hour audio book while on a long car trip. Loved it!
