Book Reviews of Bud, Not BuddyBook Review: How I survived Middle School Madame President Summary: 4 Stars
This book is awesome! One thing I loved about this book is,it really makes you think about life in middle school and what you go through. This book is about two girls running for president. One is a pop which in this book means popular. The other is just a normal 6th grader. If you like books with 6th grade drama, you will love this book. I would not recommend this book, if you like romance or mystery. I loved this book and I hope you will to!
Book Review: A fine and challenging middle school read Summary: 4 Stars
Bud, Not Buddy (Readers Circle (Laurel-Leaf)) is a fine read for strong middle school readers. For my children, it was more difficult on both an academic and emotional level. It presents the life of an orphaned child with much of its cruel and lonely elements. This was too painful for my two children adopted from across the world.
Book Review: A poor black boy Summary: 4 Stars
Some of the grammar and spelling is really awful, perhaps to show how a poor black boy would have talked during the Depression. Bud does find family, but it never says who his father is; there is just a suggestion that his mother ran off with a band member. Two of the characters are based on the author's grandfathers. I think the author does a great job of expressing what it is like to be a child.
Book Review: Naruto volume 7 Summary: 4 Stars
This book is an action packed book it will really get you moving. My opinion is, if you are looking for a action packed book choose Naruto volume 7. This is a fabulous book so check it out at your nearest library or at your school. Note:This book is part of a series.
Book Review: Bud is my Buddy Summary: 4 Stars
I liked this book because it was exciting, sad, and happy at different times. This book takes place during the Depression in Flint, Michigan with 10 year old Bud looking for his father after his mom dies. There is a happy ending, but not before Bud has many troubles.
