Book Review: I want to belong

This book was very entertaining it played on my emotions a lot. Throughout the story you get o know the main character an African American boy named Bud who lives in an orphanage. The story takes place during the Depression in the 1930's. Times are hard for everyone at this time but especially for black people. Bud does not know his father and his mother dies. Bud sets out to find his father Herman E. Calloway. Read the book to find out if he gets his wish.Book Review: A Kid's Reveiw

BUD, NOT BUDDY IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!!! It is a hilarious book with plenty of details and adventure. If I could give it 5 1/2 stars I would! Bud is such a character as he deals with Todd, Deza, and vampires while on the lam. His rules make you laugh out loud! If you don't read this book, you must be crazy! With a surprising twist in the end, you have to read it!
P.S. Don't read this book in the library, you'll laugh too loud!

Bud not Buddy is a great book. I read it in my Language Arts class. I couldn't stop turning the pages. It was like a movie on paper. I just couldn't stop laughing. Not all of the book is funny though. It was emotional, it can make you cry, oh, and did I mention that it is hilarious? Bud is really brave. He was determined to find his father. I couldn't do that. Bud, Not Buddy is a fantastic book, filled with suspense and unexpected twists. Bud tells the story in first person so everything is Bud's thoughts and opinions. Bud sets out on a journey for his long lost father. Beware of dangerous vampire bats that can sting! At first I didn't like the book because it was slow in the first 3 chapters. The middle part of the book is my favorite because it has lots of funny things, like when Bud ran off in a car. Also there are some tense parts in the book. The time when Bud was running to get on a train and...(you have to read the book to find out!) If I had to rate this book from 1-5 it would be 5!!!! SO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!
