Book Reviews of Brothers In Battle, Best of Friends

Book Review: Outstanding collection of stories
Summary: 5 Stars

"Wild Bill" and "Babe" are two warriors that helped free occupied Europe from the grip of the Nazi's. Their stories are captivating, and insightful. I couldn't put this book down until I had finished reading it. Their sense of duty to their country, their fellow soldiers, and their loved ones back home are obvious in their stories. God bless "Wild Bill" & "Babe" they are true Patriots !

Book Review: Brothers In Battle, Best of Friends
Summary: 5 Stars

An excellent book written by two members of Easy Company, 506 P.I.R. The stories of Easy Company told by two members from D-Day to VE day. "Wild Bill" and "Babe" tell of their experiences in their own words. They said it all when they said "the heroes are still over there" and "the real heroes are the ones that didn't come home".

This book is a great "read".

Book Review: Brothers in Battle - Best of Friends
Summary: 5 Stars

Very frank, honest and interesting, as you would expect from Bill Gaurnere. The book is well written and hard to put down. The contrast in styles between Bill & Babe give an exellent perspective on thier stories and the little bit of banter between them is priceless. The post war approach to life adopted buy these guys is inspiring and positive. Thanks guys, great read.

Book Review: Wonderful story
Summary: 5 Stars

After watching Band of Brothers, I couldn't wait to read this book by "Wild Bill" Guarnere and "Babe" Heffron. It really gives you an insight into what went through their minds during the hell of WWII, but the most poignant thing is the enduring love and friendship all of these guys still have for each other. It's a lesson we all should learn.

Book Review: Good book
Summary: 5 Stars

I really liked this book. It was written in a style that made me feel like I was sitting and talking in person to Mr. Guarnere and Mr. Heffron. Their exact words and dialect was printed. It did not read like a book written by some armchair soldier or historian. It reminded me of my talks with my uncle, another WWII veteran.
