Book Review: Camp out wih this memoir collection. Great read!

Let me say first, I'm a big fan of all the musical gifts Sting has brought us over the years as I've been listening since the days of vinyl, but I want to say this was a complete surprise for me and I enjoyed it completely.
Sting has a great flair for writing, painting vivid pictures of places in time within his life history. You get the sense right away that he is truly being real and down-to-earth with you as he writes. I had definite moments of laughter and somberness as he shared his most meaningful experiences. There have been comments made that his writing is too high-brow or overly verbose, and "get your dictionary" out. Yes his use of the english language is good, but it isn't a wall, so don't be intimidated by those comments. He has a great way of explaining these events of his life, and I felt as if I was sitting in his living room, hearing him speak as an invited guest. It was very heartfelt, and real.
If you have completed the book, and enjoy Sting's music from past and present -- I highly recommend that you top off the experience by going to download/buy the remake he did with his long-time friend, Gerry Richardson -- on Gerry's recent Album, the song: "Springtime in the City". Sting sings on it, and it was a special treat for me after finishing the book to hear something from Sting's past that was a special part of his musical career.
