Book Reviews of Brisingr (Inheritance, Book 3) (The Inheritance Cycle)Book Review: The "Inheritance Cycle" is coming to a close. Summary: 5 Stars
Another wonderfully-woven tale of the land of Alagaesia from Christopher Paolini. Eragon's character is given much more depth and purpose, as is Roran's, and we are given much more information on the history of the Dragon Riders, specifically Brom, Morzan and Galbatorix. Spahira's character is fleshed out further and we are given a greater insight into the bond between Dragon and Rider. A hero's quest continues, his own past and destiny questioned, and edging ever closer is the inevitable confrontation with the evil Galbatorix. Paolini has done an absolutely wonderful job with this series thus far and I almost cannot wait for the final entry, though I am sad to see the series ending. I highly recommend this book as well as its two predecessors, "Eragon" and "Eldest", for fantasy and adenture fans; you won't be disappointed. Paolini is a storyteller the likes of which does not come along but once, maybe twice, in a single generation, and not a word of his is to be cast aside.
Book Review: The best of them so far! Summary: 5 Stars
Brisingr was absolutely intriguing! I enjoyed every minute of this book. I loved the first book, Eragon, and immediately became "hooked" to the inheritance series. However, the second book had a few places where I wanted to snooze (over elaborations of locations, etc.) I would kind of skip a few pages until I could get past the descriptions. Brisinger skipped a lot of the bull and got right to the action. I enjoyed the development of the characters in Brisingr and feel some of the turns this story is brilliant. I appreciate the ongoing desire to read more. Some people are disappointed that this is not the last book... I, however, am grateful because I have enjoyed this series so much that I would LOVE to read another! I have read books where they try to sum it up too quickly and you are left feeling "empty" and many issues are left unresolved. Thank you Christopher Paolini for giving your readers the best of the best until the end!
Book Review: I liked it as much as Eldest Summary: 5 Stars
I know that some people were turned off by this book, and I agree that it was not as easy to get through as the others. However, I think the story is dynamic and I enjoy watching it evolve through each of the books. A lot of people I know felt the same way when the 3rd and 4th Harry Potter books came out and look what's become of that!
Like others I don't want to give too much away, other than the fire meaning of Brisingr has great significance for the book. I think those that liked Inheritance will will also like Brisingr.
Oh, I almost forgot! I ordered two books with Brisingr (already read all 3!) that I saw mentioned in one of the reviews, The Emotional Intelligence Quick Book and The Impulse Factor: Why Some of Us Play It Safe and Others Risk It All. They are awesome if you like psychology books :)
Book Review: The best book in the series so far Summary: 5 Stars
Brisingr was amazing! Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have just participated in a huge battle on the Burning Plains. They travel to the city of Tronjheim, deep within the Beor Mountains, and then to the far north forest of Du Weldenvarden. They fly to Feinster to take part in the siege. My favorite scene in the book was when Eragon made his sword catch on fire and it didn't burn up. The fire was bright blue. The description was amazing! This was my favorite part because Eragon needed a sword, and he got one. Saphira is one of the most important characters in the story. She flies Eragon around and makes a huge difference in battle. She is my favorite non-human character in the book. She has many good traits that contribute to the plot of the book. This book was great and I can't wait until the next book comes out. This is a book I highly recommend to anyone who loves fantasy or needs a good dragon book to read.
Book Review: Good, though a little long-winded Summary: 5 Stars
I just finished reading Brisingr, and must say I enjoyed this book very much, and am impatient to read the next and hopefully last book of the series. 'Hopefully last' only because I want to see how it all ends and not because it's not a good story. I did find that some parts were overly long, and dragged a little. The sword-making bit, Christopher, if you're reading this, really was unnecessary to go on for so many pages! It's obvious that it's only been put in because of the amount of research you probably put in. I hope you will resist the urge in the final book :)
There was one tiny but glaring mistake: when someone says/thinks "he could care less" - the common error made in colloquial English, when the person actually means "he couldn't care less".
Otherwise I admire your skills and maturity of writing, very well done!
