Book Review: If you like Tolle, you'll like this.
Summary: 5 Stars
Eckhart starts off by saying, "This will not be interesting". He means that, and he's a genuinely humble man - but he's wrong. I'm always fearful of introducing someone to the work of Tolle - it can be a shock to some people. I think this DVD is not too shocking, however. He eases you into his philosophies and gets a little excited only after the halfway point.
Even though I am quite familiar with Tolle, I was captivated by this DVD. Letting yourself ease into a calmer state of being or way of life is not easy for most people and it really helps to read or hear Eckhart's words, again and again, in order to see how his ideas can work in your life and to overcome some of the objections that a skeptical person (like me) might have at first.
If I were to try to give a synopsis of Eckhart's ways, I would only chase people away with my inadequacy at describing them. Get this DVD or read "A New Earth" and watch a little, read a little, and give yourself time to absorb and process. Don't trust what someone else says - see for yourself.
