Brian's Winter

Have you ever been camping? You were out in the wilderness, but it was controlled. Brian in "Brian's Winter" was trapped in the wilderness. With only his common sense he had to survive. I will be telling you what I thought of the novel.
Gary Paulsen wrote this novel called "Brian's Winter". If you liked Hatchet you will love this book. Gary wrote this as a sequel to tell people what would have happened if Brian had to live through the winter. His descriptions of the setting were so in depth that you could see it in your mind.
Brian was a young teenager maybe 14 years old. He didn't have a lot of common sense about the wilderness, but he learned quickly. He really did not know things that everyone should know about the wilderness. He was a teen so what can you expect.
I thought this book was okay not a great book, but a good read. I gave it a 3 out of five. I didn't like the main character, but I liked the way the book was told. It was very descriptive.

Book Review: Brians winter
Summary: 5 Stars

The book Brian's winter is written by Gary Paulsen. The main character in the book is Brian Robeson who is a 13-year-old boy that is going to see his father when the plane crashed. Now Brian is stuck in the woods for summer through winter. Brian has to find food to eat by hunting animals like moose, rabbit, and deer to stay alive. Brian has to build shelter, and make his own fire.
I like this book because of all the survival tips it gives you. If I was stuck in the woods, I would not know what to do but after reading Brain's winter I now can survive in the woods. The boy is only 13-years-old he knew how to survive on his own, he must have been smart. Brian dose not know that winter is comeing so he has to prepare he
I give the book a rating of 9 because in the beginning of the book I was confused on what has happened in the first couple pages. At the end the book got a 10 because it got more interesting to me. The book is Realistic fiction. It is a good book so read it.

Book Review: brians winter
Summary: 5 Stars

A boy named Brian was 12 years old when he was in a plane crash and was trapped out in the wilderness, for about a little under a year. Brain was able to survive through the summer, and one day while he was cleaning some grouse meat he realized that winter was coming on fast.

When Brain realized winter was coming he made a shelter that sat next to a rock, and used the rock as part of this shelter, and the rest was made of tree braches and three inches of mud. After that, he realized that he needed to make bigger and tougher bow and arrows. In the end of the story brain realizes that winter had pasted and he had made it through it.

During the spring he went out to the crashed plane and got the emergency kit, he brought it bake to land were he found a plane receiver. He accidentally leaves it on and a day later he is rescued. I liked this book because it gives realistic information about how a person could survive in the wilderness.

Book Review: A GOOD BOOK
Summary: 5 Stars

Brain is still in the woods. He notices that winter is coming. He is right, in no time the air cools and winter is upon him. He builds a door for his shelter and seals his shelter with dried mud from the lake. He makes himself a big bow and calls it the war bow. He go`s out to test his "War bow" and finds a moose. He shoots the moose with a little arrow, but the arrow doesn`t go through all the way, and the enraged moose turns and charges at Brian. Brain dodges the mosse but the huge cow comes back for more. This time the moose hits him but stops before it could hit him again. All of a sudden the moose just flops down on Brian. Brain see`s that the spear he made went through the cows neck. Brian skins the moose and eats it, for what seem eternity. One day Brian sees a straight line in the snow. He follows it and sees a cabin in the middle of the woods. An actual person comes out of the cabin...
