This is one of the magnificent books I have ever read on the 2nd Amendment and the failure of America's recognition of it's purpose. This book brought the loss of freedom into the proper light, and demonstrates how very selfish we are to want a little security over liberty. Shame on us for pushing the problems of today, the problems of yesterday, onto tomorrow, where our children and grandchildren will have to deal with our dependencies. Quit ye like men, and fight.

Book Review: Quite Possibly the Best Gun Book Ever Written. But... Summary: 5 Stars
This book is NOT intended for hunters or competitive shooters. It IS a patriot's book; heavily political (i.e. libertarian). It is designed to be a militia man's gun reference book.
Aside from the two aforementioned subjects, the only other topics this book does not adequately cover are shotguns and (for some) pistols. It covers nearly everything else you can imagine, however: which states are gun friendly, why most gun laws are ineffective, which guns are good purchases, how to reload ammo and zero your sights, how to act at gun shows, etc. In addition, there is A LOT of excellent practical advice in this book, some of which very well may change your life. I think it's just about impossible to express how amazing this book is.
That said, the book is not without flaw. Aside from the copious typos, the author is clearly a nutbag with some paranoia issues. One can tell he's obviously an older guy, somewhat of an eccentric, with a lot of money (a lawyer maybe?) with VERY strong, rigid opinions. He obviously loves guns and expects his readers to love them as much as he does. All of this should be kept in mind when reading.
That's partly because some of his advice is absolute garbage. He seriously recommends people buy a $2000+ battle rifle for their first gun instead of the FAR more reasonable suggestion of a .22 rifle. He advises people to avoid using their 'gun hand' when in public in case they need to draw their carry pistol in an emergency. And his advice concerning certain gun purchases being too expensive is 'Fine, but how much is your life worth?'
As a reference book, source for (usually) good gun advice, source for political inspiration to become part of the militia, this book is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. As long as you keep in mind the obvious lifestyle biases that cloud some of the author's suggestions, you will get A LOT out of this wonderful book. We're utterly blessed to have someone as knowledgeable and wise as Boston to have written this stellar book.
Book Review: Boston Rocks! Summary: 5 Stars
This was my first "Boston" book and worth every penny. I am rushing right out to order some of his other titles.This book is about selecting firearms to do certain jobs and anyone thinking of selecting one or more weapons for home defense or survival would do well to read this book before they spend a penny on their next firearm. Boston discusses the various settings for when you'll need different firearms and he thoroughly covers the pros and cons on many of the most popular choices of firearms. It was also refreshing to hear someone say that you might not need to go out and buy the most expensive gun on the market (not that most of the readers of this book will want anything LESS than the best though). My eyes were opened to the qualities of a whole class of firearms (military surplus) that I had never considered owning before. I found this book very helpful in that I had yet to select a specific home defense weapon and had not really figured out what to get in which order. Reading Boston's book was like getting advice from a knowledgeable friend or relative, I can't describe how much I like his writing style. I bought the book to learn, which I did, and to hear the well stated thoughtful opinions of someone that knows a lot about the subject. Boston definitely lets you know where he stands on issues but that was a nice change from so many publications that I've read lately where the authors seemed afraid to take a stand or name names. I found the pro/ con discussion of the different firearms, the explanation of the confusing laws on the "so called assault weapons" and the fact that Boston named names for good and bad products particularly helpful. My only negative observation of the book and a minor one at that, is the second half of the book seems to rely on an aweful lot of quotes, much of which seems to be preaching to the choir. I enjoyed this book and expect to refer to it often over the years. Any person interested in making a well informed firearm purchase should own this book.
Book Review: the most helpful book about guns i know of Summary: 5 Stars
This is not only my favorite gun book ive read. its one of my favorite books period. not my absolute favorite the bibles my favorite but this book is at least second. through this book i learned that you can legaly carry a consealed gun without a license as long as it was made before 1889. im currently looking for one. this book is a great way to learn how to make pro victim disarmament advocates [gun control nuts] and their arguments look as dumb as they are. how insane is it that are government is inforceing unconstitutional and ILLEGAL laws. the second ammendment says clearly. THE RIGHT TO KEEP [own] AND BEAR [carry] ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED [can not be leagaly canged no ecceptions no responsable gun control [no gun control is responsable] even an ammendment to the constitution banning guns or a certain gun would infringe and would be ILLEGAL] when the house of repusentitives or senate or the president or juges infringe upon are second ammendment rights in my opinion its HIGH TREASON and the penalty for that is death. im not saying to kill them our selves im saying thay should be given a fair trial and if found guilty hannged or leathel injection. ANY LAW BANNING ANY KIND OF GUN IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND ILLEGAL [the constitution is the HIGHEST LAW IN THE LAND] and no one NOT EVEN IF 100% of THE HOUSE OF REPS AND SENATE could pass a law legaly and with out commiting HIGH TREASON that would ban even one type of gun. and if the supreme court upholds a law that infringes upon the second ammendment or any other for that matter [INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO LIFE] its illeagal and i would like to say that the members of the supreme court who held that abortion [murder of the unborn] should be leagal should be charged with high treason and 40 million counts of murder [im not kiding] [more then 40 million babies have been butcherd since roe v. wade thats 3000 to 4000 a day 1.5 million a year]
well anyway sorry i rambled on like that.

What a page turner!!!
I have been buying books from Amazon for over a decade now, and my purchases have been based largely on the reviews. I have never written a review nor felt the responsibility to do so until now.
Boston's Gun Bible will be one of the MOST IMPORTANT books you will EVER read, and it needs to be read now!
I'm a college grad, live in a big city, and voted for our current president (huuuuge mistake). After there was no "Change" I started to "Wake Up". Well friends I am now "WIde Awake and On Board"!
A year ago I never owned a firearm, much less knew how to load one. I didn't know about caliber, effective ranges, or carbines vs battle rifles, etc. Frankly, I never felt the need to own one. I didn't understand why we need them. Now I will fight tooth and nail for our Second Amendment.
LISTEN UP Americans, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, in order for free men to remain free, they MUST be armed! How can anyone argue against History? ALL OF THE ANSWERS ARE THERE in history. There is a reason that Polish Jews were easily marched off to concentration camps. They were UN-ARMED! Ever hear of a a Swiss Jew in a concentration camp? No? Well, the reason is, THEY WERE ARMED, and the Swiss people STILL ARE!!!
Boston's Gun Bible is packed (800 Pages) with a history and review of tons of firearms, a lot of history in reference to firearms, and a lesson in the failures that we have become as Americans, along with what we can do to secure a free country for our children.
I have bought a half dozen of these books and given them to friends/family, and HIGHLY recommend that you pick one up for yourself before our government decides you shouldn't have it, "for your own protection" of course.
An ABSOLUTE must for all men to remain free, not just Americans!
